Voice Diary collects the following information to provide our service.
- Voice data: Used only for on-device speech recognition (STT). Audio recordings are not stored on our servers.
- Text data: Diary entries converted from speech-to-text are stored.
- Account information: Email, name, and profile photo when signing in with Google or Apple.
- Emotion analysis: AI-analyzed emotions, keywords, and summaries are stored.

3. Data Storage and Security
Storage Location:
- Guest users: All data is stored locally on your device only.
- Signed-in users: Data is securely stored in Google Firebase with encryption.
- Your diary entries are private and accessible only to you.
Data Retention Period:
- Active users: Data is retained while your account is active.
- Upon deletion request: All data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.
- Inactive accounts: If you do not log in for 3 years, we may send a notice before deleting your data.
4. Third-Party Services
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Diary text is sent for emotion analysis. Anthropic does not use API data for model training.
- Google Firebase: Used for authentication and data storage.
- We do not share your personal information with any other third parties.
5. Legal Basis for Data Processing (GDPR)
For EU users, we process personal data based on the following legal grounds:
- User Consent: We process diary text for AI emotion analysis and keyword extraction based on your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or stopping the use of AI analysis features.
- Contractual Necessity: We process account information and diary data to provide the core service (diary storage, cross-device sync) as agreed in our Terms of Service.
- Legitimate Interest: We process technical data (error logs, usage patterns) to improve service quality and fix bugs. This processing is balanced against your privacy rights and does not include sensitive personal data.
6. Data Deletion
Delete Individual Entries: You can delete individual diary entries within the app. Deleted entries are retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
Delete Your Account: You can delete your account directly using the "Delete Account" button at the bottom of the Settings page. Upon account deletion, all diary data, emotion analysis results, keyword data, and account information will be deleted immediately.

9. Children's Privacy
This service is intended for users aged 14 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
